Time Square Ball
Fun to make while you are waiting for the countdown to begin.
You need:
2½" Styrofoam Ball
Ten Silver Metallic Pipe Cleaners
Crystal Beads
Silver Glitter Paint
Toothpicks
Hair Pin
Instructions:
Push eight toothpicks into Styrofoam ball. Paint ball with glitter glue using the toothpicks to keep the ball from sticking to your work surface. Let dry.
Cut tinsel stems into 1½" pieces. Push a clear faceted bead to the middle of a piece of tinsel stem. Twist the stem ends together and push it into the Styrofoam ball. Continue until you have beads around the whole ball.
Push a hair pin into the ball to make a loop to attach a string. Slowly lower your ball during the countdown so it reaches the ground at new year.
