Today's Tip is from my friend Heather in Ohio.... I always have been able to be lucky and be home with my children, 6 and 4, however a year ago we needed the money so I started working outside the home, in the evenings once dh is home. The kids had a hard time adjusting to the new routine, and missed me reading their favorite books...daddy doesn't use the same silly voices. To make it easier for them, I bought some blank tapes, and taped myself reading their favorite books. So now they can still have mommy "read" to them even when I'm not there. They love it! This is a great idea for moms who work, dad's who go away on business trips and of course, for kids that split time with parents in two different homes. It's also a neat idea for grandparents to make a few tapes for their grand kids too!
