Cramped for closet space and short on storage for coats? Try these options to find extra hanging space.
A charming alternative is a coat rack. Whether it's a beautiful antique or a simple hat rack, you'd be surprised at how many items can be hung on one of these. If you have a long hall that's not used for anything, a row of hooks can come in quite handy, or any empty wall, for that matter. Put them where it is convenient. Add a shelf above for hats and things. Maybe a narrow basket on the floor for gloves and scarves. And finally, a functional bench or stool might come in handy, too.
