Bear Candy Holder

Fill our loveable bear's tummy with candy to give it to someone special. Great classroom project!

You need:

• Bear Pattern
• Mini Paper Mache Round Box
• Heavy Clear Plastic Bag
  (such as a zip lock freezer bag)
• Brown, Tan and Black Craft Foam
• Brown Paint
• Small, Red Bow
• Wiggle Eyes -- 15mm
• Kid's Choice Glue, Low Temp Glue Gun, or Tacky Glue
• Red Hots or Other Small Candy
• Black Marker
• Scissors

Instructions:

Set aside the inner cardboard circle. You won't need it for this project. Paint box and lid, let dry. Cut out a circle of clear plastic from the plastic bag to fit inside the box lid. Glue into place.

Print Bear Pattern. Staple all around pattern to craft foam, making sure staples are outside the cutting line. Cut out pieces. Assemble the bear's face using photo above as a guide. Use a black marker to draw a line beneath nose and to add freckles on the cheek.

Run a bead of glue along feet base where shown on pattern. Position box side on feet base, being careful to set forward enough so the lid is not glued in place. Glue on head and arms. Finish with a bow and fill with candy.
